After the university had sent me a provisional confirmation of enrollment, we immediately submitted the application for a student visa at the beginning of November. Once again, documents had to be translated and forms filled out, but being so close to the goal, we certainly weren’t going to give up.

Today came the relieving news – my application for a student visa has been approved. In January I may travel to Christchurch to arrange accommodation, a car, school for the children, a bank account, insurance, and much more, so that I can start my studies on February 9 right on time.

Hopefully, in the coming days Vroni’s partner visa as well as the student visas for Marie and Ferdinand will also arrive, so that nothing stands in the way of our great adventure.
